NABA Broward County Butterfly Chapter Meeting – February 21, 2027

Our speaker will be Dr. Jaeson Clayburn, Associate Professor of Biology at Miami Dade College (MDC) where he teaches biology and environmental science courses. Additionally, Jaeson is an adjunct professor at Florida International University. He is a past president of the NABA Miami Blue Chapter representing Miami-Dade County and has a passion for conservation, research, and science education. His presentation is entitled “Following Butterflies Through Urban and Natural Landscapes: Insights from Radiotelemetry”. Please join us for his presentation where we will learn how butterflies are selected for tagging, how the transmitters are attached and how movement data are collected and visualized using the BlūSeries Tag Portal. As always, we welcome all and refreshments will be available.
